Where do you visit on The Liverpool Pub Crawl Tour?

This is culture and nightlife combined and is ideal for first-time visitors to the city or for solo travellers who wish to experience the city at night but would prefer to have a helping hand when it comes to navigation. It’s conducted at a very leisurely pace and is as informal as we can be, so no standing on a street corner for 20 minutes listening to someone drone on…  It’s designed to be fun!

Philharmonic Pub

One of Liverpool’s most famous pubs, known for its ornate Victorian interior and perfect position on Hope Street.

Ye Cracke

A historic pub with strong literary ties, once frequented by John Lennon during his art school days.

The Bridewell

A former police station turned characterful pub, offering real ales in one of the city’s most unique settings.

The Pier Head

A UNESCO-listed waterfront area offering panoramic river views and access to major landmarks. Also home to a famous statue of The Beatles.

The Three Graces

Three landmark buildings that define Liverpool’s skyline and celebrate its maritime and commercial heritage.

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral & Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

Two striking cathedrals at either end of Hope Street, showcasing contrasting architecture and shared cultural importance.

Chinatown

Home to Europe’s oldest Chinese community, marked by a grand ceremonial arch and vibrant food scene.

The Cavern Club – Mathew Street

Discover the heart of Merseybeat. What started as a humble cellar became the launchpad for a musical revolution.

FAQs

Find answers to questions we often get asked about our Liverpool tours.

Can I book on the same day?

Online booking closes at 9pm the previous day unless there is already a tour running and if there is space then you can book online up to an hour before the tour starts.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There’s no strict minimum, and solo travellers are always welcome. For larger groups, we recommend getting in touch so we can make sure the route, pace, and pubs suit everyone. If you’re booking for a private event, we can also customise the experience.

Where does the pub crawl begin?

We meet in a nice central location. Exact details are sent in your booking confirmation.

Can this tour be combined with other activities, like walking or cycling tours?

Yes! Many people choose to start their day with one of our City Centre Highlights or Beatles Cycle Tours, then finish with the pub crawl in the evening. Just let us know and we’ll help you plan the perfect double.

Does the tour pass any famous Liverpool landmarks?

Yes! Between pubs, we stroll past some brilliant sights including Liverpool Cathedral, the Radio City Tower, and even a few spots tied to The Beatles. So you’re getting a bit of a walking tour and pub crawl in one.

Are we on foot the entire way?

It’s all done on foot. The route is gentle and the stops are well-paced. The pubs are all within comfortable walking distance of each other, and we promise there are no steep hills involved.

Are the included drinks alcoholic? Can I choose a soft drink instead?

Yes, the included drinks are usually alcoholic, but we’re happy to offer a soft drink alternative if you prefer. Just let us know at the start of the tour – no pressure to drink alcohol if it’s not your thing.

Can we buy additional drinks and snacks during the tour?

Absolutely. Each pub has its own menu, so if you fancy an extra pint, a snack, or a cheeky cocktail, go for it. Just keep an eye on the group so you don’t get left behind – we do move on at a relaxed but steady pace.

Is the tour suitable for solo travellers and smaller groups?

Yes, definitely! This tour is a great way for solo travellers to meet people and have a good time in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re on your own or with a couple of mates, you’ll be very welcome.

What happens if it rains—will the tour still go ahead?

Unless the weather gets truly wild, the tour goes ahead rain or shine. We’re pretty used to a bit of drizzle here in Liverpool, and there’s always a warm pub just around the corner. Bring a waterproof if the forecast looks iffy.

Is the route wheelchair-friendly or suitable for mobility issues?

Some of the pubs we visit are older buildings, and so are not wheelchair accessible.
